Hello there,

I have just added an SSD to my system to speed it up and create more space. I have kept my old HDD in the system.  I now boot from my SSD and I have also put apps on it.  I have stored all my data files on my old HDD.

Coming to work on my Microsoft Money file, it won't open in the usual seamless way.  I have located my  MS Money files and tried double-clicking on them and I get a window up with a 'restore' option.  Trying this I just get an error message up saying 'The file name is invalid' and I can get no further.  I have found two backup files, one ending in .mbf and the other .mny.  Both follow the sequence that I have given above

Can anyone help, please?

Solved it!  My backup file was in my HDD which had a new letter assigned to it. when I added the SSD  Going through the 'file > restore' route in MS Money and then using the MS Money search facility, I found my last '.mbf' file and restored it.  Job done!  I hope that my experience is of use to people.
