We just finished the health conference call to review 1.0 RC1 and the only issue identified was security, which we agreed to leave out for 1.0. https://github.com/eclipse/microprofile-health/pull/99 addresses this concern by all security requirements from the spec.

We will leave the RC1 open until tomorrow COB (6PM CET) and then roll the 1.0 Final release. Please let us know if anything jumps to your eye that requires changes for 1.0.

Regards,
Heiko

Apologies, it should read "by removing all security requirements from the spec".

This implies that each vendor can address security in their own way until we follow up with a Health Check.next release. That's an acceptable approach.

Thanks Heiko.

Sounds great, Heiko!  Please be aware of the other threads discussing the requirements for MP 1.2 prep...

Thanks, Kevin

Thanks for the notice Kevin. I've tagged 1.0.0 RC2 in preparation for the IP review and such. If we get a positive conformation, we will use this version to derive 1.0.0

Heiko,
As I am prepping for the IP review for the Health component, I see that you have a dual dependency on testng at different levels...  In your tck folder, your pom.xml references both the 6.9.9 and the 6.8.21 versions.  Which one is correct?  Hopefully, you can get by with 6.9.9 since that one is already approved for use.  The 6.8.21 will take an extra item in the CQ process.  Thanks!

<testng.version>6.9.9</testng.version>

<dependency>
   <groupId>org.testng</groupId>
   <artifactId>testng</artifactId>
   <version>${testng.version}</version>
   <scope>compile</scope>
</dependency>

<dependency>
   <groupId>org.testng</groupId>
   <artifactId>testng</artifactId>
   <version>6.8.21</version>
</dependency>

FYI, Here's the CQ I created for the Health component.  I only found Build and Test dependencies.  We should still figure out the proper answer for the testng version...  Thanks.

I have verified that the TCK runs fine with just the testng 6.9.9 version dependency, and so I pushed that change. I'll leave it to Heiko to verify it with his latest changes to make sure there is no issue.

Thanks for doing the CQ Kevin. I did struggle wth that yesterday. I'll verify the approved testng version, but wouldn't expect any issues. And thanks Scott, for doing the pre-flight check.

I've verified that  testng 6.9.9 works as expected.
