Hi,
I know a few of you are going to EclipseCon next week -- Heiko Rupp, Emily, and myself.  Any reps from Payara, Tomitribe, or independents?  We've got several sessions on MicroProfile and EE4J.  Just wondering if we're missing anybody...

I also noticed that there's an eclipse.org members meeting happening at the conference.  One of the agenda items is listed as "EE4J/MicroProfile".  Anyone know what's going to be discussed in that?

Organizing a MP BOF might be a good idea.  We already have one for EE4J, but having one dedicated to MP might be good.  I just checked the website and it says that the organized BOF scheduled has closed.  But,  maybe I can pull some strings...  I'll reach out to see if we can one scheduled.

John,
Can you point me at the specific eclipse.org members meeting you are referring to?  I know we have a Panel and BOF on EE4J.  And, there are several sessions related to Java EE, EE4J, and MP through out the week.  But, I'm curious about this particular meeting and agenda you referenced.  Just wondering if I'm missing out on something...  :-)

It's not far away from home, but for now I don't have plans to go there.
I'll reach out to Tomitribe folks internally to see if someone will be there.

I was thinking about the same thing and took a look at the schedule. I think after the EE4J BOF and a few talks on MP, we can have a dedicated MicroProfile BOF. It seems there are two free slots on Wednesday evening 6:30-7:30. I suggest we talk to Mike or someone in Eclipse to get it penciled in and we can spread the words in our sessions. Thoughts?

Thanks, John.

I talked with the organizer of this meeting today and this is just a "status" update for the wider Eclipse community.  Everything that will be presented by Mike at this session should already be known by us (EE4J and MicroProfile).  I still plan to attend to keep Mike honest (smile) and to see if there's anything that should be shared with the MP community.

Emily, I talked with Anne earlier today.  All of the electronic organization of the BOFs is complete.  Now, we just have to manually schedule one via their bulletin board.  She said there are 2 or 3 slots left on Wednesday.  She said not to use the big room that's left (Burg 2) since it's too big for a BOF.  One of us should try to get this scheduled when we register...
