New MP AI meeting time

Due to the new request regarding changing meeting time, after some survey, we need to update the current meeting time. From the week commencing 7th April, the weekly MP AI call will be on Tuesdays 5:00-5:30pm UK time. The MP calendar has been updated accordingly.

Hello Emily,

We did meet at the "New MP AI meeting time" as of Tuesday 2025-04-15. However, this was not a good time for all stakeholders, especially Emmanuel Hugonnet. He had to call in on a telephone. I realize finding the best time is a very hard problem.  Even so, I request we make another attempt.

I looked at the following sources to exclude times.

1. business hour overlap between UTC-6 and UTC+1.
2. the existing time, which does not work for Emmanuel.
3. my calendar.
4. the Jakarta Specification Calendar Jakarta EE Specifications Calendar.
5. the MicroProfile Calender Microprofile.

I hit the limit of the free number of slots in Doodle. I made two polls

Thank you, Ed, for doing the doodles! As you know, it is so difficult to get a slot that we are all available. I promised to start another round of agreeing on a new timeslot after I come back from vacation. I have asked the folks in the MP AI call today to log onto their availability on the 2 doodles.

We can select a 30 minute window on Fridays between 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM EDT, but Luis Neto cannot atttend.

We can select Fridays 12:00 - 12:30 PM EDT, but Arjav Desai cannot attend.

Luis, are any of the times you cannot make on Friday between 10:00 AM - 12:00 EDT less bad than others?

Emmanuel did not select any times in Doodle poll 1, so I am discarding those results.

If I don't hear from Luis by COB Monday, I'll select 10:00 - 10:30 AM EDT Fridays.

We have had the MP AI meeting yesterday. I recommend not to rush this to allow people to vote till this Friday. The most available slot can be decided over the weekend and the new meeting can start next week.

For each 2 weeks we have Sprint Retrospective from 11am to 12.

Friday 11am EDT is good for me.

Hello everyone,

I am from India and would like to join. I have been a Java professional for 25 years, microprofile consumer since 2019. I have also had a deep professional involvement with AI, as the developer of drivers for Accelerator ASICs and as a graph neural network modeler.

This is my first direct interaction with a team of this nature. Hence will really appreciate some hand holding in the first few months. I will really welcome some mentorship, that can make my contributions to this work impactful. Request someone to come forward. I will take their guidance outside this thread, when in doubt.
