As part of the preparation of the rolling out of start.microprofile.io, I need to work with the person that maintains/manages the microprofile.io domain. Whoever you are, could you please reach out to me?

1) We need to have a domain certificate generated for start.microprofile.io since it's going to use https (we need the public and private certificates). Cloudflare is currently being used by microprofile.io
2) We need to eventually redirect start.microprofile.io to a specific IP address.

Thanks,

Hola Cesar,

Thanks for using this forum.

I have assigned the task to Stephanie from the EF team. Please, Stephanie, direct us to the proper person to enable completion of the task. Thank you!

Disclosure, the Eclipse Foundation currently holds the MP domain. The transfer was completed after Tomitribe signed the Agreements to move the MicroProfile Project under the Eclipse foundation as decided with the Co-Founders of project.

Hello Eclipse Foundation web team,

I've been referred to you for answers to the questions below.  I wasn't aware that you guys had taken over the ownership and management of  the website and domain microprofile.io.  Please let me know who I can work with from your team on my asks below.

Thanks,
Cesar

I'm coming in on the middle of this, so I may or may not be helpful.

First, there is no need for a new TLS certificate as the current one is a *.microprofile.io wildcard certificate. I'm not sure how this became a request, perhaps it was just an assumption. Here's how I got the information:

- Navigate to https://microprofile.io in Chrome
- Click the lock icon in the address bar
- Organization on the cert is 'PositiveSSL Multi-Domain' from Cloudflare
- There's a good 60+ domains listed in the cert including `*.microprofile.io`

So we should be good.

Now I've seen questions on "who owns microprofile.io".

- Eclipse owns the domain and has exclussive access to set the NS records determining which DNS server can server microprofile.io.

- The NS records point to Cloudflare as the DNS server. Cloudflare also provides the TLS/SSL cert.

- The website itself is served out of AWS under an account I made exclusively for MicroProfile and I know at least 6-8 people were given admin access.

There was a training session on this before Devoxx US that was recorded and had a least 4 or so people on it.

That said, we clearly need another push on getting more people to use the access they have. Let me see what we can do.
