Hello dear Jakarta EE Community,
I'd like to share the great news with You! We have been in touch with Bernd Müller and Kai Gutenschwager form Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Computer Science and are happy to welcome them to the Jakarta EE Working Group!
The Jakarta EE members page is updated with the new Guest Member and I would like to invite you to welcome Bernd, Kai and Ostfalia University to our community.
We do need students interested in the technology and would be
happy to involve them in any Jakarta EE related projects:
documentation updates, building / updating examples or
tutorials, implementation projects or specification projects. I
am hoping the collaboration with Ostfalia University will
greatly help with this.

Hola Tanja and all,
Thank you for sharing the exciting news! However, just as a reminder, per the MicroProfile Working Group (MPWG) Charter, Guest members must be voted in by the Steering Committee before officially joining the WG.
Bernd Müller and Kai Gutenschwager from Ostfalia University could either join the next Community call on Oct 29th to introduce themselves and meet a few MicroProfilers or/and send a written message via the working group forum about Ostfalia University's desire to join MP to initiate the process.

Hi Amelia,
You are correct as per the working group's charter the MicroProfile Steering Committee needs to invite Ostfalia University to participate as a Guest member, so if there are no objections from the Steering Committee then I suggest they proceed to invite Bernd Müller from Ostfalia University to join the upcoming calls. I see further down in this thread Bernd has done a wonderful job introducing himself and sharing the university's interest in MicroProfile.
