The new MP release process

Due to the Sonatype staging repo removal, we had to update our release process. Roberto did some experiment last year to remove the Sontype staging repo here. Further to the call last night, Roberto has kindly agreed to update the MP release process here with the new update he experimented recently (Thanks Roberto!). 

The good news is that Eclipse Foundation has developed a new plugin for the Eclipse Foundation owned staging repo recently. Jakarta EE leveraged this plugin last week(see here). 

Let's revisit this topic in the next MP Technical call to see what actions we should take.

Further to the MP Technical call, we will need to use the staging plugin provided by EF. I have filed this issue for a dedicated staging repo created for MicroProfile. Once it is done, we will get the staging plugin integrated in our release process.

Just provide a update to my previous email. The staging repo  https://repo.eclipse.org/#browse/browse:microprofile-maven2-staging was created for MP. We will use this to stage our final releases when going for voting.
