Happy Friday, Tetiana,

On monday, can you please extend your access to MPWordPress as an editor using a 2nd email address?

This is a followed up finishing your MPwordpress onboarding.

During the MP4.0 release, you gained full access as an Admin (listed in the MP INFRA sheet).
That's only a partial onboarding into the website contributing.

You must not use that Admin access for regular not website activities.
Examples on when to use Admin access are when:
  • welcoming/providing/adding a new User access as a contributor in anything related to content/Blog tab in MicroProfile
  • adjusting Users' access, either removal or new password set-ups... and similar related to Users Wordpress access
  • changing items such links, anything that is controlled by WordPress and requires a Human to edit
  • nothing else
  • PS: I will add all of this in the Marketing wiki documentation - WIP

In short, you must have 2 active access to MPWordpress, Admin and Editor.
Editor access examples are:
  •  review,  publish and write content
  • adjust old blogs
  • clean up drafts in the quee
  • check for blog comments (if any require approval)
  • Anything that doesn't actually change the website look, it is only for publication & mainly useful on Blog's Tab matters.

Questions, shoot or ask on Monday's call,

happy weekend,

Ryan St. James

Why do people that have "admin" access need to have another that is "editor"?
As long as they are careful and know not to delete random things, they can do all activities on one user account.
Thoughts?

Ryan

Hi,

Totally agree with Ryan.
It is rather strange to have two separate accounts for one site.
What is the necessity?

Regards,
Tetiana

It might be easier to discuss on next marketing regular call.
Clearly, only a few have Admin access so if you believe that you won't brake the website while reviewing blogs, etc, so be it.
I always lean towards less access when doing "normal tasks"

IMO, the only MicroProfiler, who needs only 1 account is Ryan because his contributions are website adjustments focus.
The other active MicroProfilers (beyond INFRA access) have 2 accounts. Let's revise what current is on next call. 💛
