Now that it’s been a year since the big MicroProfile announcement, we had an idea to write an article based on the short interviews with the original DevNation panel members.
So, the general idea is to ask 4-6 questions to each panel member ( Mike Croft from Payara, Mark Little from Red Hat, Alasdair Nottingham from IBM, Theresa Nguyen from Tomitribe and Martijn Verburg from the London Java User Group) so that they can email the answers back to me and I will put the article together. I already approached all those listed above individually to find out if they're interested in participating.
I'd also like to get a couple of sentences long statements from the representatives of all other Eclipse MicroProfile members (SOUJava, Hazelcast, Fujitsu, KumuluzEE, Smartbear - hope I'm not forgetting anyone?) who joined the initiative after the initial announcement so that we can also include their plans and goals in the article.
The questions will relate to what was originally said during the DevNation announcement, how the plans from last year evolved, what’s the situation one year on, how the initial plans have changed or developed etc. and what they’re planning to do in the near future. Basically, the goal for the article would be to show a retrospective view of our efforts within the last year and summarise the MicroProfile plans for the near future.
Hope you and your teams will be willing to participate. I will be posting some more updates on this here as the project evolves.
Once ready, we will publish the article on the Payara Blog and on the new MicroProfile blog of course.

Just to let you all know, I have now sent out the 'interview' questions to all DevNation keynote panel members individually. The deadline for sending the responses is end of August. If you haven’t received my email or need more info or clarification, feel free to contact me!
