Screen Mode Switch 2 problem

Hi guys,
I am trying out this product for my own home use.
One computer and one user ... me.
I can get the resolution part sorted just how I want it but it is the
activation bit that is causing me problems.
I go to the website and register.
I copy the local key and paste it into the correct place.
I get the activation key and paste it where it should go and then I
get a message saying the code has been entered incorrectly.
How can it be entered incorrectly when it is copy/pasted?
I have tried 4 times with the same result.
Any ideas?

It seems like you had installed an older version,

Please make sure that you are using version 2.1.1.1
(the product key activation will not work with any older version)

We had to change the way we generate product keys,

Please download the latest version (2.1.1.1) of Screen Mode Switch
and activate it, you can manage your account at The My Account Page

You can also update your software by right clicking the Screen Mode
Switch icon at the tray as follows:

Thank you for the help with this.
I have now deleted the older version, downloaded and installed the new
one and activated it.
