Instead of trying to take Pathfinder and reduce it to MicroLITE I came
at it from the other side. Starting with Md20 as my template I just
added back the things I thought were key elements of Pathfinder. For
example the Combat Maneuver System, rolling up some of the skill
checks like how Spot/Search/Listen are rolled up into Perception, and
some elements of the classes.
You'll notice the class details are not yet in the Player's
Compendium. They will be the same classes as the plug-in classes so
just refer to those seperately for now. Once I get the classes nailed
down then I'll append them to the Player's Compendium.
The whole goal of Pathfinder LITE is to bring to the table a light
weight, streamlined, robust, rule set that is compatible with
Pathfinder. I simply love all of the fluff around Pathfinder but
despise the rule set for the same reasons I despise D&D 3.5; it's
overly complicated, too many circumstantial modifiers, convoluted
mechanics, and way too many rules for every single little thing. This
will be a more accesible entry point into the game to experience
Pathfinder with out having to read 300 pages of rules.
