Aircraft import is still quite an expensive affair in India, customs duty is approx. 25%, therefore 1/4 more than the international price of the aircraft. Whether its weed hopper or a conventional aircraft, import is one and the same.

I was checking on the import duty in the site...Apparently
, it says "for aircrafts under 2000 kg weight", duty is 3%...! Pl see http://www.cbec.gov.in/customs/cst-0910/chap-88.pdf

I should be wrong here....:)
