Hi,

I'm a novice to MicroEmulator, so please bear with me. I'm trying to
run Opera MIni using the emulator. But i run into connection problems.
The message i get is: "There was a problem connecting. There might be
a problem with your network setup. (error 4.0.6)".

Note that:
1) I can run the same application with Sun Wireless Toolkit
2) The application is starting without problem; but its unable to
establish connections.
3) I'm starting the emulator from eclipse.

Any idea?

Thanks,
Max.

Max,

How do you start up MicroEmulator?

Hi Bartek,

Nice to hear from you. I start MicroEmulator using Eclipse. I have a project called Test. Then in the Java build path  i added mircoemulator.jar and opera-mini.jar. Next i create a run configuration named OperaMini. After that, i search for the class org.microemu.app.Main and chose it as main class to be executed. I then entered the absloute path to the opera min jad file as argument in the run configuration.

Finally, i just went forward to run the confifuration; which runs OK except for the networking part. You can find the version of Opera Mini i'm trying to run at the following locations: http://www.opera.com/mini/download/nokia/nokia_2125i/

Looking forward to reading more from you.

Max.

I just tried to run it via command line and gor the same result. My command was:

java -Dbluecove.stack=emulator -cp microemulator.jar; org.microemu.app.Main opera-mini.jad

And all jar and jad files (microemulator.jar, opera-mini.jar, opera-mini.jad) are in the directory from where i am starting the emulator.

Max.

Your configuration works for me fine, including networking. I've been
using latest snapshot version of MicroEmulator though, you can find it
at: http://snapshot.microemu.org/microemulator/download/
