No build errors, but application force closes

No matter what revision of microemu I use, the outcome is the same. The apk build with no errors, but will force-close when I try to run it.
I built the apk using the SDK for android 2.3.3 gingerbread, and my phone currently runs 2.3.4.
Is Microemu compatible with gingerbread? The latest release was somewhere around 4 years ago, so it might not be compatible.
If I need to provide extra info, like a section from the build.xml, let me know.
