Hi Everyone,

I tried to reserve a classroom at Argo Tea for our study group meeting but I was told that starting this weekend all of the classrooms are reserved for faculty every weekend. I'm skeptical as to whether or not this is actually true, but that's the information I received. This being the case, I reserved a classroom in Bobst Library that has a whiteboard and can seat up to 11 people.
Reservation: Sunday, 9/30/12 @ 4:00pm, Bobst Library, Lower Level 2, Classroom 08
This week's topic: Policy interventions that affect price and market efficiency: Taxes and Price Ceilings/Floors

Reminders:
  • Please arrive on time and let us know if you are going to be late (also if we are more than 10 minutes for our classroom reservation we will forfeit the space and the room will be given to a waiting group).
  • We will be reviewing assignment #4. Please arrive to the group session with this assignment completed in order to utilize our shared time in a productive manner.
  • Please review the newly posted videos (tax on dog walking services) on Blackboard prior to study group to ensure that we are all on the same page with regards to class lessons and materials.
Additionally, I know that you have all noticed that our midterm exam is in less than a month away (October 23rd at 6:45pm). A midterm review format that was proposed on Tuesday night was to assign each group member 1 of the 6 topics that will be covered on the midterm. Then we will each take turns teaching our section to each other (perhaps 20-30 minutes assigned to each topic). We will discuss this further on Sunday, but please keep this in mind, and come to study group prepared to discuss other midterm review methods as well as a topic of the course that you would like to teach.

See you this weekend!
