so the story is this
sniffUSB v1.8 is no longer supported by the developers.
sniffUSB v2.x is no longer supported by the developers.
(both are under public domain with source code)
we don't currently have a perfect app to sniff USB traffic.
makeshift soln. are
- windows -> vmware -> usbmon under Linux
- wireshark (does'nt work, currently)
What are our options, can we find some windows DDK developers to help us ?
(obviously we can't just drop webcam driver development & start USB
sniffer development.)

Sorry for the delayed reply.
Basically my participation in SniffUSB was simply academic. I modified the
original to the extent that it could be built under currently-available
driver build tools.
I don't pretend to be a USB expert, and really can't take time out to work
on this issue.
I do think that there are issues on Vista that need attention. I only
performed a very quick test on Vista. I have heard reports from several
folks that the current SniffUSB is useless there.
