Hi Tambuto,

Connect your device into the USB port, make a "dmesg" in the shell and
show us the last lines. You can also make an "lsusb" and see if the
computer has detected your device.

ok i think is a problem loading modules with thats kernels
Now with the new kernle posted by Endrew it works.
But i need to make work the module also under the old kernel.
The prob is that at boot the 2.6.29.1 seems don't find

/lib/modules/2.6.29.1-vortex86dx/modules.dep

but the directories and files exist....
i've the debian lenny installed on cf 4.0gb
so in the grub menu is

title Debian GNU/Linux, kernel 2.6.29.3-vortex86dx
root (hd0,0)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.29.3-vortex86dx root=/dev/hdc1 ro quiet
initrd /boot/initrd.img-2.6.29.3-vortex86dx

with andrew kernel dev is sda

title My Vortex86 Kernel (testing)
root (hd0,0)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.31.6-MyVortex86 root=/dev/sda1
libata.force=pio4
initrd /boot/initrd.img-2.6.31.6-MyVortex86

mm this is so strange ...maybe some grub menu error?

Hi,

If it is compiled in a module see if it is in /etc/modules to load it at
boot time.
