Dear Microbiome COSI Members,
On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my honor to invite you to attend the ISCB Affiliated Phenome 2019 conference, which will be held in Tucson, AZ from February 6-10, 2019. This is the third year for an event that we expect will become the preeminent North American meeting focused on the methodologies and technologies that enable study of the plant phenotype, and the resulting insights into complex plant-related biological systems. The conference was established by the National Plant Science Council, the North American Plant Phenotyping Network, and is powered by the American Society of Plant Biologists.
Phenome 2019 seeks to build on collaborations among biologists, engineers, computer scientists, and allies, and it will emphasize how we collect and organize data, how we process it, and how we use it to develop statistical and conceptual frameworks to understand biological complexity, from molecular to ecological scales.
More information about the conference and registration can be found at http://phenome2019.org/
As an Affiliated Conference, we are offering Early Bird Registration rates to ISCB members! Simply enter ISCB19 in the “Promotion Code” box on the front page of the registration.
The program committee is enthusiastic about participation by members of the International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB) and the perspectives of the vibrant microbiome COSI. We appreciate the importance of microbial genetics/genomics and computational biology the plant sciences and encourage the presentation of advanced computational methods applicable to phenotyping problems (e.g., rhizobiome, soil microbiome, microbe-host interactions). I hope that you in turn would find among the presentations and discussions many new avenues to further your research.
