Missing data

Hello!

My master thesis is on soil microbiome analysis during phytoremediation, so my treatment was the presence/absence of two plants. I want to include the aerial DW of each experimental unit, but of course this is zero for the control without the plant. Considering that the alternatives given in the webpage -data substitution, deletion or imputation- are not applicable to my dataset, what advises would you give me on dealing with this disparity among treatments?
