Help paying for Funeral

Hello

I have a family asking for help to pay for a funeral for a Veteran? They did get the one time Social security payment but also asked about Veteran assistance 

The only thing I know is war time veterans have free burial in Holly, I am not sure if he is a war time veteran or not?

If anyone knows any other resources to help pay please let me know, this is in Macomb County
