June is the perfect time to get outside, soak up the sunshine, and reconnect with the people and activities that bring you joy. As school wraps up and summer schedules begin to shift, it can also be a great opportunity to reset routines and support your family’s well-being. MSU Extension is here to help with a variety of programs this month—whether you’re looking to spend more time in nature, learn something new, or take advantage of our mental health and stress management classes designed to support both youth and adults during this seasonal transition.

 

Take a look at some of the upcoming classes and opportunities happening this June—there’s something for everyone to enjoy, explore, and support a healthy, balanced summer:

• NEW! Tai Chi for Arthritis & Falls Prevention (Clinton Township)
  A gentle, beginner-friendly class focused on improving balance, flexibility, and overall well-being.
  June 15 – August 24, 2026 | Noon–1:00 p.m.

• Ornamental Grasses & Sedges Workshop (Clinton Township)
  Learn how to add low-maintenance beauty and diversity to your landscape, including plant selection and care. Participants may take home a free plant (weather permitting).

• Protecting the Family Farm: Medicaid & Long-Term Care Planning (Online)
  Attorney Libby Sanderson shares practical strategies for farm estate transfers while preserving long-term care coverage.

• Beekeeping Workshop at Tollgate Farm (Novi)
  Hands-on, in-hive experience focused on honeybee colony health, hive inspections, and seasonal management. Open to all experience levels.

• Plant & Pest Diagnostic Lab Appointments (Clinton Township)
  Get expert help diagnosing issues with your plants, lawn, or garden.
