Medicare Open Enrollment starts this week, and AgeWays Nonprofit Senior Services is here to help. Please share this information with anyone you think might benefit.
The MI Options Medicare Assistance Program (formerly the Michigan Medicare Assistance Program) helps you evaluate your Medicare plan free of charge and
without bias.
During Open Enrollment, which runs annually October 15 through December 7, it's especially important beneficiaries check up on their Part D prescription drug plan or Medicare Advantage plan.
During Open Enrollment you can:
- Enroll in or switch Medicare Part D prescription drug plans
- Change from Original Medicare (Parts A and B) to a Medicare Advantage plan or switch from a Medicare Advantage plan to Original Medicare
- Switch Medicare Advantage plans
Plan choices made during Open Enrollment will take effect January 1, 2026
Beneficiaries can access a list of participating location attached to this email. Make an appointment for your Open Enrollment benefits review by calling 248-262-0545. In addition to phone and online appointments, we are holding Open Enrollment Assistance Day
events at churches, libraries, and senior centers throughout our six-county region. You can access our full schedule of assistance day events by clicking the button below.
They can also contact the MI Options statewide call center at 800-803-7174 weekdays from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
