Hello,

AgeWays has partnered with the Food Bank Council of Michigan to provide $50 grocery gift cards to older adults affected by the temporary pause in SNAP benefits.

Individuals must:
• Be 60 years or older
• Live in Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair, or Washtenaw County
• Provide verbal confirmation that they currently receive SNAP benefits
• Only one card per household may be issued

Gift cards—Meijer or Kroger, depending on availability—are typically mailed within 2–3 business days after eligibility is verified. All cards must be distributed by December 15.

Please note: There are a limited number of gift cards available. Cards will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Once all cards have been allocated, we will no longer be able to fulfill additional requests.

Eligible older adults can call the AgeWays Resource Center at (800) 852-7795 to complete a brief screening.

We appreciate your partnership. Please help us share this information with older adults, caregivers, and networks across our six-county region so this support reaches those who need it most.

Warmly,
AgeWays Nonprofit Senior Services

**IMPORTANT UPDATE**

Due to a significant response, we are not able to take further requests for grocery gift cards. We are now focused on processing requests that have already been received. Our resource specialists can assist older adults who live in our 6-county region with identifying other food resources if needed.

Thank you,
