We have a few virtual classes coming up next week. Please share with anyone who may benefit in your network:
· Homebuyer Education-- Saturday 12/13, 10AM-2PM: Details the pre-purchase homebuying process: renting-to-homeownership transition, mortgage loan credit reporting, mortgage loan types, real estate agents and assembling a homebuying team. Attendees leave the class with a certificate that is a prerequisite for $10,000 down payment assistance, and contacts with local lenders, real estate agents, and a HUD-certified Housing Counselor.
· Financial Literacy—Thursday 12/11, 2PM-3PM: An introduction to credit and personal finance. In this course, we pay special attention to debt repayment, budgeting, and credit score improvement.
· Rent Right--Friday 12/12, 10AM-11AM: This course provides attendees with a birds-eye view of the rental process as well as information on tenant rights and responsibilities, landlord responsibilities, and local resources for preventing eviction.
