AusAID / CGAP Training
CGAP Training Course – 20-22 July 2009
AusAID and CGAP have agreed to host a 3-day Microfinance Training Course in Canberra in from 20-22 July 2009. The course will be targeted towards AusAID staff and organisations actively involved in microfinance in the Pacific region (including East Timor and PNG) and will specifically focus on operationalisation of CGAP’s Good Practice Guidelines for Funders of Microfinance.
The training will provide participants with a solid grounding in microfinance principles and the tools to make sound financing decisions. It will also examine social performance monitoring and how to manage microfinance components within integrated development projects.
Places at the training have been reserved for nominees from not for profit organisations with microfinance focused programs. AusAID is prepared to cover travel expenses and per diems for successful applicants. Places will be awarded on a competitive basis. Expressions of interests should be limited to one page and should outline the candidate’s knowledge and experience in microfinance and indicate how the training would be relevant to the applicant’s current position.
