Iakwe Janet,

I am forwarding this email to the NGO’s google address and other people that I know that would be interested in the opportunity. Many thanks for the information, and please do email me anytime if you need other assistance in the Marshalls.

Dear Mr Alson

I sent an email to Bonny Taggart and received an out office message from her.  I'd be grateful if you could advise the RMI National Olympic Committee plus any other relevant sporting groups that may be interested in the following sports grant.

The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) through the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade provides annual funding of AUD150,000 for Pacific Sport Development Grants (SDG) aimed to provide funding assistance to targeted small-medium size community sport development projects in predominantly Commonwealth countries or countries not normally assisted under the Pacific component of the ASOP.

The Australian Embassy in Pohnpei invites sporting organisations to submit applications for the 2009/10 round of the Australian Sports Outreach Program.  The closing date for applications is 18 May 2009.

Projects selected for funding will need to be completed by the end of the 2009/10 financial year, with final reports and acquittals due by 30 November 2010.

The grant guidelines and application form, list of countries that can apply, selection criteria, 2009/10 grant timetable, project evaluation template and an example of a good submission can be obtained through the department's website (http://www.dfat.gov.au/geo/spacific/asop/index.html). The application form requests applicants to outline the objectives, main activities, budget and other details of their project.

This year grants of up to AUD10,000 per project will be considered.

If you wish to submit an application for a grant, please send your submission to:
