Dear Friends

A recent development has emerged with regards to the 2009/2010 China-PIFS scholarship programme on offer to all FICs which I thought worth broadcasting.  This is in relation to the programme allowances which have increased as follows:-

Bachelor programmes – was RMB800 pa now RMB 1400 per month

Masters programmes – was RMB 1100 pa now RMB 1700 per month

PhD programmes – was rMB 1400 pa now RMB 2100 per month

More information about the scholarship can be obtained from http://en.csc.edu.cn/Lianhua/4e84d3b15705409bbeb0679188f6e835.shtml <http://en.csc.edu.cn/Lianhua/4e84d3b15705409bbeb0679188f6e835.shtml>

Note that the closing date is 6th March 2009.  Completed applications should be forwarded to PIFS, either as scanned documents by email to: chinapifsc...@forumsec.org.fj <mailto:chinapifsc...@forumsec.org.fj>  or faxed to +679 3220 221 or sent by courier to: China-PIF Scholarships, PIFS, Ratu Sukuna Road, Suva, Fiji.

I have taken the liberty of attaching the related Circular in case you haven’t seen it.

May I request your usual cooperation and assistance in circulating this information to your respective in-country contacts?
