It's been a long time since I have written to our relatives and friends to fill you in on how the Davids clan is doing.
First and foremost I'd like you to click on the following link to learn about Shoshana's upcoming honor from Women of Reform Judaism.
We are thrilled for her!  Many women have already received this information, but I think everyone should know about it and respond as you will.  Her email is srd...@gmail.com if you choose to write to her directly.  At this moment she is in Israel for 2 weeks for a series of meetings.  She and I play "Where in the world is Shoshana Dweck?" because it's impossible to keep up with her world-wide travels for Zionism.  Wherever you are in the world, keep your eye on the voting instructions for the World Zionist Congress!  The Reform Platform needs YOUR vote.  Check it out at https://urj.tfaforms.net/1507
A quick rundown on the rest of the family:
I am doing as well as I can, trying to manage Stan's care teams and take care of myself along the line.  I keep up with Synagogue and Sisterhood activities as much as possible, and find my way to the swimming pool frequently.  1000-piece puzzles keep my mind busy, and Stan and I enjoy watching TV shows and movies every evening.  The news is terrible all over the world but we try to keep our spirits up.
Stan's physical health keeps him wheelchair bound, but he continues to love going for "walks" on the beach and keeping watch for the dolphins, pelicans and even sharks. Sad to say, he's struggling with early stage dementia and is fully aware of that condition.  He doesn't like being confused and is very willing to ask for medication when he needs it.  Home hospice and 24-hour caregivers are very helpful for both of us.
Ronn and Nicole continue to be extremely busy lawyers.  Older daughter Beth is heading to Emory University in August. She is enjoying her senior year in high school in her role as captain of the debate team.  Younger daughter Hannah is a freshman in highschool and is already playing soccer on the varsity team as well as on the tennis team.  In club soccer, she has been invited onto the international team so we'll see where that brings her around the world with Ronn chaperoning.
Shoshana's son James is thriving in his 3rd year of medical school, heading for emergency room medicine.  Joshua just received his masters degree in Sports Analytics and owns a wonderful website you definitely will enjoy if you follow football or tennis:  Dweck-Sports.  Gabriel will graduate from Carnegie Melon in May and will be moving to Salt Lake City Utah to work in Risk Management at Goldman Sachs.  This is his dream come true and we are thrilled for him.
Aviva and Jason are once again in the throes of remodeling their home and seem to love the chaos that brings!  Jason continues to enjoy his law practice.  Aviva is now administrator of the Spirituality Department at her hospital, which means she is in charge of the chaplains at Little Company of Mary Hospital.  That is quite a position since she is the first Jewish administrator at this Catholic hospital.  Son Zeke is living in Austin, Texas working as a Mechanical Engineer for Tesla.  He enjoys his work and loves the city.  He owns his home and is working to turn it into a "smart house."  Mya will be graduating from Drexel University in June and is in the process of applying to graduate school.  She doesn't like to talk about that and won't let you know anything until she has been accepted and until she accepts that acceptance!  She spent the first semester of her senior year at Mannheim University in Germany and took advantage of her location to travel in Europe, including participating in an international Hillel Convention in Rome.  Cole is studying computer science at Santa Monica College and we love having him so close to us.  He walks with Stan every Saturday morning, and helps out with technical issues that I seem to constantly run into with computers, TV's, phones, etc.  He even runs errands occasionally.  He has a very close group of friends and can be found playing computer games in favorite locations around the city with them.
So that's the family update.  We send love and hugs to each of you.  Of course we love hearing from you!!
Have a Great Day
