An update about Stan

What follows is a copy of a message sent on Shoshana's Facebook page by my amazing children about what is happening with Stanley at this time. Many of you have already received this news, but we wanted to be certain that each of you who had been listening to his wonderful Torah Gem presentations received this message. I have also asked people to send old-fashioned cards and written or printed messages. He is not reading his email, but I am printing those out for him. He certainly enjoys opening the mail!

An update about our father:

Last week, Dad fell and broke a couple of vertebrae in his neck. While that is itself healable, the underlying issues that led to his fall are not. He is now at home under hospice care, surrounded by views of the Pacific Ocean. He is with the love of his life ... and also with his cat who is happy to have him home.

For 30+ years he has defied the odds, but this time his various illnesses finally have the upper hand.

This is, of course, a difficult time for him and for our family. Phone calls are not preferred at this time. However, responses to this post and emails to the family will be shared with dad regularly.
