Hello,
If there is interest in the group for such a topic, I would like to
talk about:
“Python in Science: Chronic Disease Modeling Software” in the next
group meeting.
I would like to talk about our experiences with using Python as a base
for our Chronic Disease Modeling Software we developed at the
University of Michigan. For a quick introduction to our project,
please visit the following web site:
http://www.med.umich.edu/mdrtc/cores/DiseaseModel/
In specific, I would talk about:
- Some background
- Why did we choose Python for the project
- How python was used to create an expression language
- Additional Libraries we used: WxPython, SymPy, NumPy, SciPy
The talk will include some examples.
I can make the talk as short as 5 minutes and as long as an hour or
more depending on time availability. If possible, I would prefer to
talk in the August meeting.
If there is any interest in such a talk, please let me know by email.
Sincerely,
--
