Here is the latest update from Tip of the Mitt in the Michigan Wetland
Action Coalition (MWAC) Newsletter:

MICHIGAN WETLAND PROTECTION PROGRAM UPDATE

Discussions are still ongoing to save Michigan’s wetland protection
program. There is an interest by many Legislators and stakeholders
for the state to retain authority to administer the Section 404
program. Both the House and the Senate have left placeholders in
their budget bills for the state wetland program in hopes that an
agreement can be reached and funding can be found to save the program.
