Proposal 2 (Gerrymandering) - YES,
Proposal 3 (Improve Access to Ballot) - YES.
For state board of education and all the universities trustees and regents - select Democrat candidates.
Depending upon your precinct, this list may not apply exactly for you. In which case, it us safer to go with a Democrat candidate.
With one exception, in Troy/Rochester, for state representative, DO NOT VOTE for Padma Kuppa, who is running as a Democrat. Instead, Vote FOR Doug Teitz who is a Republican. I can understand Muslim aren’t happy with Republicans. Then, they must work to change. I seek out Republicans like Doug. We have Muslim leaders on Doug's team. We need Republican supporters too. There is a difference between national and local politics so not all Republicans are bad. We need to form coalitions.
Constituency: District 41 of Michigan House of Representatives representing Troy and Clawson.
Padma Kuppa was a board member of Hindu American Foundation for many years. It appears she has left HAF board only to ensure she does not carry that baggage while running for public office. Her campaign has highlighted her association with multiple organizations except HAF.
She is a firm extreme right wing, and has a running blog on Patheos positioned as part of an interfaith dialogue, but unequivocally articulating the Hindutva line on issues such as conversion of Muslims, Christians and Dalit.
