| The event cost MMCC $15k to put on with tents, food, staff cost and labor; and this year we are hoping to raise some money to take a bus to the Capitol too! |

The Michigan Muslim Community Council needs your help to attend and contribute to their annual and very unique event: Michigan Muslim Capitol Day, Tuesday May 12th from 9:00AM to 3:30PM Michigan Muslims Capitol Day is an annual event that MMCC has hosted and organized for the past several years. Participants attend meetings with their legislators and/or state senators, enjoy lunch with them, talk about issues pertinent in their communities, hear speakers from the Muslim communities across MI and network with a group of robust individuals.
Attended by 200+ people from across the state, it is the only event of its kind that empowers the Muslim communities and youth to have a voice in Lansing where policies and laws are passed.
Each year Capitol Day gets bigger, better and LOUDER. We want more participation at this very crucial times for Muslims and non-Whites, where our safety is in jeopardy. However this will cost us more money, because we need to provide transportation, more space, more food and more staff that ever before.

 | Lets face it. Muslims do not have the best reputation at the moment. Innocent human beings are being harmed. Our voices are not being heard. Let us unite and ask our officials to "Take on Hate" at this year's Capitol Day! |
