Jeffrey Gene Pigeon Sr., 57 years old, “Ozawanakwot” or Yellow Cloud was born September 30, 1954 in Benton Harbor, Michigan, and died August 2, 2012 in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. He was Eagle Clan and a member of the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe, a member of the Brown Hawk Warrior Society and a member of the SCIT Ogitchidaw Warrior Society. Jeff was a US Army veteran during Vietnam. He graduated from Kalam...
azoo Central High School and attended Haskell Indian Nations University. He was an accomplished musician who played drums, guitar, piano, coronet, trumpet, violin, keyboard and arranged music. He brought laughter to all of us, becoming a professional clown called “Macaroni”. He enjoyed fishing, golf, skiing, bicycling, riding his moped and cheering for the Detroit Lions. Jeff is nominated for the”Snaggers’ Hall of Fame”.
Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Clara White-Pigeon, father, Edward Whitepigeon and sister, Gayle Whitepigeon. He is survived by his mother, Virginia Pigeon and Uncle Calvin White Pigeon. His brothers are Jerome Whitepigeon Sr., Jon Pigeon and William Whitepigeon. Sisters are Julie Whitepigeon, Joy Pigeon, and Shauna Whitepigeon. Children are Jeffrey Pigeon Jr., Gregory Pigeon, Jenna Pigeon, KC Moses Pigeon, Mark Pigeon, Michael Pigeon and Angel Micheau. Jeff had 8 grandchildren, 13 nieces and nephews, many grand-nieces and grand-nephews and 1 great-grandnephew. Arrangements will be handled by Clark Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with a wake on Wednesday evening, August 29, 2012 and funeral on Thursday, August 30, 2012. George Martin will be conducting the services. Burial will be at the Hamilton Cemetery in Hamilton, Michigan on Friday, August 31, 2012
