When you should NOT get a massage & my open appointments

I get alot of people that ask me, "is it ok to get massage when I have
____(fill in the blank with whatever ailment you want)?"

Here is a list of contraindications of massage:

*Appendicitis
*Autoimmune diseases (during flare up)
*Cardiac arrest
*Chickenpox
*Cholecystitis (during flare up)
*Cirrhosis of the liver (if due to viral agent)
*Contact dermatitis
*Embolism
*Encephalitis
*Fever
*Galstones (during attack)
*German measles
*Gout (acute phase)
*Hemorrhage
*Hepatitis
*Hives
*Infectious deseases
*Influenza
*Intestinal obstruction
*Lice
*Lupus (during flare up)
*Measles
*Meningitis
*Mononucleosis
*Mumps
*Pancreatitis
*Pericarditis
*Pharyngitis (due to infection)
*Pleruisy (if caused by infectious agent)
*Pneumonia
*Preeclampsia
*Psychiatric diagnoses of manic depressive psychosis, schizophrenic
psychosis, and paranoid conditions
*Pulmonary embolism
*Pyelonephritis
*Rabies
*Respiratory distress syndrome


Some other ailments may require avoiding the area or a drs release.
