I didn't even know he was going! His last spot seems to be at 7 am
less than 1/2 way to CP1. But the tracker isn't working well so I
wouldn't be surprised if that's wrong.

He dropped out when he was sure he could not make it to Check Point 1 before the deadline. Ironically, they later postponed the deadline. He could have made it if he had kept going. I suspect he is back in his car headed home.
