As regards joining the hull panel sides, if one uses a plywood butt
block, how are mechanical fasteners used in the 1/4" material? It
would seem that nails and screws would either be too long or, if short
enough to not pierce the sides, inconsequential.

I put srews through 3/4 x 10 material as "clamps" and then filled the
few holes the left. The blocks work so well, are so easy, and are
hidden inside. I can't imagine a better way...imo.

Gordo, Thanks for advice. All suggestions eagerly solicited. I had hoped that seeing how a "tight knit" group had recently built to this design,  I would be able to ask questions. That scenario is working! I've enjoyed reading your building and sailing log on the net. Is your name really Gordo? Thanks again, Ed Einhorn

Yeah Ed my name really is Gordo. Well, it's Gordon, but I've been
"Gordo" for so many years, if someone calls me "Gordon" other than at
work, I figure they want money ;-)

Welcome Ed and ask more, we need to motivate our little group.
