Hello out there:

Is anyone working on a new Laguna right now? Anyone planning to build
one soon? Anyone modifying the one they already built?

Mike is finishing my Welsford Kiwi for me, as my lupus, et al, has
flared up badly.

He loves his Laguna and is only not sailing it because temps have been
in 100's, today was 106 and no wind. Oklahoma is the pits right now.

Just curious if there are more coming along?

Love, Jackie (and Mike)

P.S. the new link to our Sail Oklahoma! event is now http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Sail
Oklahoma

We hope to see all the Lagunas there except Sinko from Andrew, so if
anyone is thinking of building one this would be a good thing to come
to in October 8-11

Jackie: We are planning to take our Laguna to Lake Powell in September for
a couple of weeks. We are really looking forward to that trip. Heck, I have
only sailed the boat twice and for less than an hour altogether.

Chuck,

Are you sailing the Laguna at Lake Powell or using her as a motor
launch to support group as you had talked about?

Both. At first I imagined motoring without the sails but I would hate
to have the wind blow in our direction and not have them. So we will
take the sails.

I am! Have the sides cut out, and all the bulkheads and did a temp
screwing it together...wow, big!, then ran into a glitch. 2 ft too
long for my garage at a diagonal. Ooops. So, selling a utility
trailer, have design and am building a trailer for the boat since I'm
going to have to keep it outside the garage as I work on it and need
to move it around. But let me say, very excited to get rolling and
get it in the water.

Mike loves his too. For a boat that was supposed to be temporary to
sail in one event, the TX200, it has turned into a very permanent
boat. He is already planning new adventures to take her to next year
in 2011.

You will love her, I know. Gordo has already worn out Laguna Uno I
think sailing her!
