L3 ready to go

I just uploaded two photos to the group.

Look at the two most recent from Chuck (at the bottom, I think).
Anyway, one shows L3 with her sails in the lazyjacks - ready for the
water. The other shows the tiller and linkage as it exists now.

Less than a week, now until I pull out of here.

Yes, Scott. We will see how that goes. Now I am moving the rudder. I put it
in the middle but there was not really room for the little Honda 2. I am
moving it about 6 inches to Starboard.

I don't understand what is causing this to send......while I am typing.. New computer and new program and deficient old operator.
anyway... I was still building my boat the morning of the start last year and Tom mentioned that several times in his wonderful article.
I likely will do the same this year.

I am not comfortable calling the boat a Laguna....  I have made so many unauthorized changes from Jim's plan that I must call it a Laguna Inspiration.  "It" (change) is a  compulsion (not a vote)...I can't seem to help my self.   Some of the changes I like and some I don't.  One thing I learned is that Jim is a very thought full designer.  I did not realize much of why he designed it the way he did....until I veered away from his clear and simple plan...

The playful paint/design of your Laguna3 reminds me of the light hearted fun of the PDRacer.

hmmmmm  If it is not still primer white it might be purple and yellow!

The wind forecast is light ESE air Tues. morning......?   No doubt it will change before then.

If it is a laptop with a touchpad, disable that and use a mouse. Mine has a button to disable the touchpad. Those things will do all kinds of mischief when you least expect just from waving your hands over it. My last one disabled the touchpad when a mouse was plugged in.

 

Light air Tuesday morning?  As long as it is not from the North.
