Dear all,
I'm traying the command micca classify using custom reference.fasta and taxonomy.txt files, but something wrong:

- micca classify -m cons -i denovo_greedy_otus/otus.fasta -o denovo_greedy_otus/taxa.txt --ref reference.fasta --ref-tax taxonomy.txt

the error say:

Error: new-line character seen in unquoted field - do you need to open the file in universal-newline mode?

In attachment the two files, that are tab delimited like suggested in the guide.

thanks for any idea or suggestions
m.
reference.fasta
taxonomy.txt

Dear Massimo,

I had the same problem. You can solve it by copying your data file (fasta and txt) in an already file that worked for micca.
Somehow Excel or any other program inserts strange symbols in the document that micca cannot read and we do not see when opening the file.
In any case, by copying your content in an already micca-working file and renaming it, the problem should be solved.

best regards,
Ulrike

Dear all,

the error was fixed in version 1.6.1. Now the taxonomy files are opened in universal new-line mode (OS independent).

Ciao,
Davide
