Ifyou do a bit of digging the evidence is not clear cut, cause many people from non science backgrounds have done exceptionally well without much prep while people with biomed/science etc have done poorly. Then there have been people who have achieved in the top percentiles with no prep and people who get the same score year in year out despite months of study. One thing is for sure is that no one provider has cracked the test completely, some are more recommended than others but its up to you to read testimonials and decide if they seem legit.

For me one possible explanation is that gamsat does not test rote learned knowledge, rather it's about reasoning from the given daya. I feel in biomed the goal is to cram and hence why many biomed kids get flustered on the gamsat if an obvious answer dosent pop out from memory alone.

The other thing is all the courses can cost hundreds if not 1000s so providers are incentivised to get as many people on board. So fake testimonials making you feel like you are missing vital info is a marketing ploy they exploit.

I am mainly worried about Section 2 as I have never been great essay writer & I guess it might take me a while to achieve good score in that section. I might consider 1-1 tutoring!

I am a quick reader so I guess with practice on graphs, charts,... would be able to handle section 1.

My concern with Section 3 is how long it will take me to refresh my basics. I have been graduated since 2005, although I used to have pretty good foundation in Chemistry & Biology but physics I used to hate. That is why I was asking about studying material that could help me to focus on the topics I need to refresh.

I am putting my study plan during the Christmas break & will start to put it in action by January in order to sit tge GAMSAT in Sep 2020.

I used Des O Neil 2 years ago when I sat it, I found Des to have questions which replicate the actual test in the closest way..... as well as that those do the ACER questions... they are the most important.

When I did the GAMSAT I had no science background but I just jumped into the questions right away (no point studying theory). I feel this is the best way to learn.... for each question you do think about how you get to the answer correctly (whether you get it right or wrong)!
