The documentation of the MIAPA workshop we held at the 2011 TDWG
conference last month is now cleaned up and complete with links to
presentations, outcomes, and follow-up activities:

http://wiki.tdwg.org/twiki/bin/view/Phylogenetics/MIAPAWorkshop2011

The outcomes are linked from within the agenda. In summary, we now have:

1 - A draft scope statement:
http://wiki.tdwg.org/twiki/bin/view/Phylogenetics/MIAPADraft#Scope_discussion

2 - A draft checklist:
http://wiki.tdwg.org/twiki/bin/view/Phylogenetics/MIAPADraft#Reconciled_draft_checklist

3 - The beginnings of a community survey:
http://wiki.tdwg.org/twiki/bin/view/Phylogenetics/MIAPADraft#Community_survey

The proposed follow-ups are being developed on the following page, and
on top of the above include a meeting report for publication:

http://wiki.tdwg.org/twiki/bin/view/Phylogenetics/MIAPAWorkshop2011Followups

I have put down the tentative leaders based on who took or expressed
interest to take the lead at the workshop:

Scope statement - Susan Perkins
ISA-tools entry form for MIAPA - Chris Taylor
Community survey - (*)
Workshop report - Hilmar

(*) I took lead of the Community Survey activity only ad interim at
the workshop because nobody else stepped up at the time, not because
I'm particularly qualified or experienced in this. I would therefore
like to pass on leadership to someone else, and I think there are
enough here in our group who'd be well qualified and been involved
with community surveys and engagement before. This is a call for
someone to step forward.

Susan and Chris - it'd be terrific if you are willing to carry on with
being leads for your subgroups - could you quickly confirm if this is
the case.

There is also explicit space there for everyone who is interested in
participating in the subgroups or contributing in other ways to sign
themselves up.

I'll post separately on my ideas for the workshop report.

Hi Hilmar, all,

Thanks for that. I'm more than happy to continue to assist as you suggest. Perhaps a phone call soon would be useful?

Cheers, Chris.
