Description:
Ryder seeks a
web developer to provide technical support to the Clarity Project Management Suite
of products. Responsibilities include application of enhancements to the
Clarity Project Management Suite of products to fulfill customer requests for
enhanced functionality and reporting and development and support of small and
mid-scale web applications that support Ryder's Project Management Office.
Technologies used to support these applications include Microsoft SQL Server,
SQL Scripting, Java, and Microsoft .NET. The candidate for this position must
be able to interact with users to gather requirements, analyze requirements to
design and develop sound and effective solutions, test the solutions, deploy
the solutions to the live environment for general use, and develop
documentation to facilitate the ongoing maintenance and support of these applications.
Education/Experience/Skills/Required
Qualifications:
- BS degree
in Computer Science or related field of study.
- Strong
experience with SQL scripting, Microsoft SQL Server, overall database schema
design, and stored procedures.
- Must have the
ability to develop web applications in Java or Microsoft .NET.
- Must have
working knowledge of HTML and Javascript.
- For Java
Programmers, must be ready to learn .Net programming and work in a .NET
environment.
- Must
possess a strong commitment to continue learning programming under Java,
Microsoft .NET, Clarity Project Management Suite, and Microstrategy platforms.
- Must have
good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly with other IT
professionals.
- Must be
able to work independently and with minimal supervision.

Understanding of how to develop and use Web Services is desirable.
- Programming
experience under the Clarity Project Management Suite, Actuate Reporting
Server, and/or Microstrategy desirable.
