Interval International is re-writing their applications from AS 400 to Java and are seeking several resources 5 java (Architect, 2 leads and 2 developers) and 2 DBA’s (Oracle). It will be 6 month contract to hire. I believe this project is to be done over the next 3 years. I’ve attached the descriptions for you if you’d like to forward them on.

1. SOA Architect -

 

Job Description:

• 10+ yrs experience of software application development

• 10+ yrs applying object oriented analysis and design practices

• 5+ yrs years of Java and Java EE experience

• Experience in developing, deploying and supporting web based applications

• Proven track record developing and implementing SOA strategies

• Hands-on Experience with an ESB (Mule preferred, or TIBCO, Sonic, IBM, etc. OK)

• Hands on Experience with distributed messaging technologies, such as MQ, JMS, etc.

• Strong experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP), XML, and use of digital certificates for authentication

• Experience with a packaged rules engine                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       & nbsp;                                      • Experience designing large-scale systems, including custom application development, content management systems, and portal development, using standard-based web technologies such as XML, Java EE, and Web Services.

• Business development – responses to RFPs, scoping, presentation skills.

• Delivery team leadership – requirements gathering, architecture and design, team mentoring, negotiation, conflict resolution.

• B.S. or M.S in Computer Science or a related degree

Java Developer –

DBA - Logical, Physical. (Oracle)

Job Description: The DBA/Data Architect will strategically design, develop, and implement data models for enterprise-level applications and systems. These models shall be architected at the following layers: conceptual, logical, and physical. The position will also work closely with the Application Team as an Application DBA and will eventually provide Production DBA Support to the new system.  

Skill Sets:

* 5+ years experience as data architect and modeler

* Hands-on experience in developing enterprise data architectures and complex data models

* In-depth knowledge of relational modeling, dimensional modeling, and entity relationship modeling

* In-depth knowledge of ERWin data modeling tool or similar tool

* Strong SQL and PL/SQL experience

* Experience with Database Change Management

* Experience as Oracle DBA strongly desired (Oracle Performance tuning, RMAN, RAC etc.)

* BS degree in IT or related field

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills is required
