It looks like school reform in Detroit is not exactly getting off to
a great start. I hope people don't have really high expectations since
progress will probably be slow. If Detroit follows the pattern of
reform in other cities they will most likely see the most progress in
the elementary grades but very little change in the higher
grades. This is how things seem to have gone in Chicago.
