Is there any free-net or otherwise accounts that can be set up inside
Michigan. I have a friend who needs to get an Internet mail account,
but does not belong to any organizations which can supply him with one.

Thanks in advance.

If all he needs access to is Internet Mail and not ftp/telnet, etc, the
M-net should be able to help him out just fine. M-net is a public access
Unix System in Ann Arbor. You can reach it by telnet to
m-net.ann-arbor.mi.us, by typing um-m-net at the Which Host? prompt of
Merit, or by dialing direct to (313) 996-4644. To create a new account,
login as newuser. Hope this helps....

Msen has public access Internet shell accounts available, $20/mo.
Call +1 313 998 4562 or mail to in...@mail.msen.com.
