Hi All,
I've been lurking here for awhile, and figured I'd break my silence to
announce a project I've been working on with a small team in Ann
Arbor. The site is http://whatwasthere.com/ - it's a platform to put
historical photography into the spatial context of streetview.

The project uses the latest version of the maps API (Allowing us to
use streetview without flash), and we've taken advantage of many of
the new features in this version - from the styling of map elements to
the custom, scaling markers within street view.

This is technically just the 'beta' release, so we welcome any
feedback, especially the sort of feedback that might come from a
community well-versed in Google APIs.

We've seeded the project with hundreds of photos centered on Ann
Arbor, and are steadily looking to grow across the state and beyond.
If you have access to content that might benefit from this added
context, or are interested in getting involved somehow, let me know!

Cheers,

- Adam Kempa
