Hi all,
Thanks to Kirsten for forwarding the link to the MIR article on the 22 Ways program in action at Emmanuel Church. I’ve posted on our 22 Ways website and spotlighted the well-deserved credit to Cheryl for her effort getting the program launched.
The post online is here: http://mi22ways.com/2011/07/07/emmanuel/
And copied below as well.

Mercer Island's Emmanuel Church was recognized this week in the Mercer Island Reporter for its adoption of the Carbon Challenge.
As the Reporter story put it,
"Over the past three months, members of Emmanuel Episcopal Church have readily accepted and met the “Carbon Challenge,” developed by the Mercer Island Green Ribbon Commission to reduce household and transportation carbon consumption in 22 different ways."
Green Ribbon Commission member Cheryl Marshall was very active in designing the "22 Ways to be Green" framework and working with the congregation at Emmanuel Church to adapt and develop a "Carbon Challenge" appropriate for the church. The efforts resulted in
"Thirty-one Emmanuel Episcopal Island households, from singles to families, participated in the 22Ways Challenge and 306 actions were taken."
