Dear GRC Working Group-
You have another exciting opportunity to weigh in and direct the focus of GRC efforts for the next year. Attached (and copied below) are minutes from last month’s 2012 strategic planning session. We used the large white board in the council caucus room to lay out the accomplishments from the past two years, and to brainstorm and narrow the focus of work for 2012. It was a great start, and next week you have the opportunity to come and make your case for the 1 thing (or 2) that will be the primary focus for the GRC over the next year. Out of the 22Ways will come “1” targeted campaign. If there is something you are passionate about, please come to the meeting and advocate for that activity or area of focus. You will decide the direction for 2012!

GRC Strategic Planning Meeting Minutes
September 13, 2011
The first stage of the GRC 2012 Strategic Planning meeting was held to begin the process of planning and focusing GRC time and energies for 2012. Six areas were discussed with brainstorming from the group:
1. GRC History (in Brief)
2. Activities to Date (detailed)
3. Activities identified for 2011 that have not been done, may be priorities for 2012
4. Other Potential Activities to Consider for 2012
5. Decision on The Focus for 2012
6. Structure & Roles Discussion
The next GRC meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 11, 5-7pm. City Hall, Caucus Room (enter through police lobby door). Goal is to identify the one area of focus for 2012.
