The good news for you: Your Redmine projects will transition seamlessly to Planio and you will get access to all Planio features for free.
Are my projects still secure?
Yes! Planio is a 100% owner operated European company and we strictly adhere to the GDPR. All our servers are hosted with ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certified data center provider Hetzner based in Germany. As a rule, Planio never uses cloud or shared servers for any user data. We hand-pick and manage all our servers ourselves and we take great pride in maintaining a rock-solid, fully redundant, fast and secure platform for your Redmine data.
Who is behind Planio?
Planio is run by the real people behind Redmine. All members of our team are long standing and active contributors to the Redmine project. For us, working with Redmine is not just a job – it's been a passion for more than 10 years. During this time, we have contributed a ton of features, improvements, and security fixes to Redmine, and we will always be there for you with any questions or requests you may have regarding your Redmine project.
How does the change work?
On October 1st, 2020, HostedRedmine will move to the Planio platform. The URL as well as your logins and passwords will remain the same. You will be able to login and use Redmine just as before. You will simply be switched to the new user interface and your projects will get access to the new features. Be sure to check out the Apps tab after the switch!
If you are using Subversion
Planio comes with free hosted Git and Subversion repositories. You won't need a third party Subversion hosting provider anymore. However, Planio cannot connect to externally hosted SVN repos.
But you can migrate your external SVN repos to Planio! To make this seamless for you, we have built a free SVN importer. The importer will let you migrate your externally hosted Subversion to Planio in one click and keep using it just as before. The importer will be available in the Repository section in your projects.
The fine print
Since the previous HostedRedmine platform will be discontinued, the switch to Planio is mandatory. On October 1st, 2020, Planio GmbH, based in Berlin, Germany, will become your service provider and contractual party for your free hosted Redmine projects. Please review our general terms of use as well as our privacy policy. If you don't wish your account and Redmine projects to be moved to Planio, please delete them before October 1st, 2020. Otherwise, we will assume your acceptance of the move and the contractual conditions.
If you have any questions about this migration, please don't hesitate to hit the reply button for this email to reach our friendly staff directly.
Thanks! We are looking forward to making your Redmine projects more successful and fun!
